Tomás nos hace llegar esta reflexión aparecida en Business Pundit.

Me permito la libertad de incluir algunas partes interesantes de la diferencia entre la creación de valor y la creación de beneficios.

Business used to be about providing value to the customer. Entrepreneurs captured a portion of that value creation as profit. The more value they created, the more profit they could make. But then along came Wall Street.

Estas son las 5 razones por las cuales el Capitalismo actual debería incluir a Geeks en sus organizaciones:

1. Geeks seek knowledge for it’s own sake
2. Geeks like to experiment
3. Geeks openly debate the merits of technical ideas
4. Geeks are concerned with doing good work just because
5. Geeks are about results, not office politics

Y acabo con una cita que merece una reflexión:

The biggest reward for a thing well done is to have done it (Voltaire).

Me pregunto también si se está transmitiendo esta cultura a los que van a incorporarse al mercado laboral. El equilibrio entre pagar la hipoteca y ese “reward” cada vez es menos importante.
